Which Cities In Latin America Have Uber?

Today, just a fun little article that you might want to reference in the future.

One of the biggest hazards of living in Central and South America is taking taxis.

Many cabs in this part of the world are unmetered and unlicensed, meaning that the drivers regularly rip-off their customers.

And foreigners are a prime target.

Best worst-case scenario you lose a few bucks. Worst worst-case scenario, you become the victim of an express kidnapping.

Luckily, many Latin American cities (98 cities, to be exact) have welcomed UBER, a safe and affordable taxi service available on your smartphone device. In fact, UBER's growth has tripled in the region, and it shows no signs of stopping! This takes the danger out of getting around your chosen city - you can rest assured that with UBER you will safely get to where you are going.

For your convenience, I've compiled a list of the Mexican, Central and South American cities and countries that have UBER.

Enjoy!

*Click on the highlighted cities to see their corresponding city guide. Uber is constantly adding cities, so if your desired destination isn't on the list, Google it! Could be it's been added.

As you can see, Uber is all over Latin America. Mexico is particularly well served by the ride sharing app, as is Brazil and Colombia.

Hopefully the app will be arriving in Nicaragua soon, another popular Latin American country for expats. Rumours have been circling , but no concrete plans have been announced yet.

Until then, we'll take what we're given!

Happy riding!

Cheers,

Vance
